If you have a pet that's largely self-sufficient, but you still need someone to come by and feed them, give them water, and take them for a walk a couple times a day, then this is the service for you! This is recommended for people that are going on short holidays or weekend getaways, who have young or healthy pets, or low-maintenance pets. For pets that require medication, lots of attention, or are elderly, I highly recommend my pet sitting service instead.
For pet care, I charge $30/day. This covers walks, feedings, giving water, cleaning up after the pet in the home, and playing with them for 30 minutes every time I come by the house (if the pet enjoys/can play!). This covers up to 4 pets at a time; each additional pet after that is an additional $15/day.
When requesting this service, please make sure you have the appropriate supplies already in the home for your pet (the appropriate food, toys, and so on). If your pet is one that requires fresher food than you can provide in advance (such as live crickets for reptiles), I will ask that you give me a small amount of money upfront to cover the potential cost of food, and I will reimburse you whatever was not spent once you return. I will also ask that you provide an emergency contact number (a number that I can reach you by, or a close family member in the area that you trust with your pet's care), a number to your pet's veterinarian, as well as your choice of emergency veterinarian, just so that if anything should go wrong while you are away, I can make sure we maintain communication!
Example: You have a pet cat that you need someone to keep fed, keep watered, and someone to scoop the litterbox for while you are away for a vacation for 7 days. $30 per day * 7 days = $210 total for the service.
Example 2: You have 2 dogs and 3 bearded dragons that you need someone to feed, water, and clean up after while you are gone for 4 days. The first four pets don't add to the charges, but because there are 5 pets total, there is an additional $15/day. So, ($30 per day * 4 days) + ($15 per day * 4 days extra charge for the 5th pet) = $180 total for the service.
