IMPORTANT! I am not a professional dog or cat groomer! But I am experienced in handling pets, and I am fully capable of doing most grooming tasks short of a styled haircut for your pets. I can bathe pets, clip or shave away mats, clip nails, clean ears, brush teeth/offer dental treats, as well as remove stuck shed on reptiles.
This service is the most variable of all of my services. See below for my prices.
Bath — $20+ Using your own bath tub or sink, I wash your pet with warm water, using shampoo and/or pet conditioner of your choice. I may use shampoo or conditioner(s) that you already have on hand, or I can bring my own. Note that I will not use shampoo or conditioner intended for humans on pets, nor will I use shampoo or conditioner meant for adult pets on young pets, or those meant for cats on dogs, or any variation of that; I want to make sure your pet remains healthy and has as pleasant a bathing experience as they can! If you want me to bring my own pet shampoo and/or conditioner of your choice, I will ask for an additional fee to cover the cost of that. For anxious or potentially aggressive dogs, I ask that you provide a muzzle for them, or I will charge for the cost of providing a muzzle to you. I do not recommend this service for cats unless they are incapable of bathing themselves or have a medical reason for needing a bath, but if you want a cat bathed, I will ask that you allow me to either trim their claws or apply claw caps to them first. You also must be comfortable with me scruffing your cats. I will not lift an adult cat by their scruff, as that can injure them, but if a cat is particularly aggressive or reactive during bath time, I may need to gently hold their scruff to relax them to finish the bath. I appreciate your understanding!
Matted Fur Removal — $15+ Please note that if mats are too severe, however, I will refuse to perform the service; understand that this is for your pet's health, as mats that large must be removed by a vet to ensure the pet isn't wounded in the process! When requesting this service, I will ask that you send me a picture beforehand of the problem areas, so I can determine if it is safe for me to remove the mats. For anxious or potentially aggressive dogs, I ask that you provide a muzzle for them, or I will charge for the cost of providing a muzzle to you. For cats, I will ask that you allow me to either trim their claws or apply claw caps to them first. You also must be comfortable with me scruffing your cats. I will not lift an adult cat by their scruff, as that can injure them, but if a cat is particularly aggressive or reactive during this service, I may need to gently hold their scruff to relax them to finish removing the mat(s). I appreciate your understanding!
Nail Trimming, Grinding, and/or Claw Cap Applications — $20+ For a simple nail trim, I will charge $15 plus $0.67/mile for the distance between my location and yours. For a nail trim and grinding, I will charge $20 plus $0.67/mile for the distance between my location and yours. For claw cap application for cats, I will charge $35 (this covers the cost of nail trimming, the cost of the claw caps, as well as the time it will take to apply them!) plus $0.67/mile for the distance between my location and yours. You MUST be able to provide a muzzle for dogs or I will charge to provide one for you (as even the sweetest of dogs can become reactive when a stranger is clipping their nails!), and you MUST be comfortable with me scruffing your cats. I will not lift an adult cat by their scruff, as that can injure them, but if a cat is particularly aggressive or reactive during this service, I may need to gently hold their scruff to relax them enough to finish the service. Thank you for your understanding!
Ear Cleaning — $15 For a simple ear clean, I will charge $15 plus $0.67/mile for the distance between my location and yours. You MUST be able to provide a muzzle for dogs or I will charge to provide one for you (as even the sweetest of dogs can become reactive when a stranger is touching them!), and you MUST be comfortable with me scruffing your cats. I will not lift an adult cat by their scruff, as that can injure them, but if a cat is particularly aggressive or reactive during this service, I may need to gently hold their scruff to relax them enough to finish the service. Thank you for your understanding!
Dental Treat/Teeth Brushing — $25 This covers the cost of the treats/toothbrush(es) and toothpaste. I will also charge an additional $0.67/mile for the distance between my location and yours.
Stuck Shed Removal — $20 This covers the cost of supplies and the time it will take to ease the stuck shed off. I will also charge an additional $0.67/mile for the distance between my location and yours. I am willing to handle any and all exotic pets, but I will charge an additional $40 for adult iguanas, monitors, or other large reptiles, due to their greater potential for causing injury, which will require much more careful handling and time.
Example: You have an elderly cat that has trouble cleaning herself. She needs a couple mats trimmed and a bath. You live 3 miles away from me. (2 * (0.67 * 3)) + 15 + 20 = $39.02 total.
Example 2: You have a young dog that you want to give a bath, have their nails trimmed, ears cleaned, and given a dental treat. You live 5 miles away from me. (2 * (0.67 * 5)) + 20 + 15 + 15 + 25 = $81.70 total.
